Is KTM a little closer to revealing the 390 RC2022? On August 30, 2021, the communications department of the Mattighofen factory unveiled the same teaser on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
The short video is very enticing, communicating the controlled but frenetic pace of mechanics working with a team in the pit lane to tune up their bikes. There is almost no marking on the bike, except for a small "RC" on a front fairing at the start of the video and a "Ready to Race" sticker on the rear which is briefly visible in one scene. Likewise, the accompanying text used by KTM when releasing this clip simply reads: “From the street, straight to the track. #KTM #ReadyToRace »
The version of the bike shown in this video is black and orange with a dark gray front fender, rather than the blue and orange that KTM prematurely revealed by accident at the beginning of last August. Is this the all-new RC 390, or is it a larger displacement version? How long we have to wait to find out is another question. At the end of the 20-second clip, white text appears on a black screen: “COMING SOON” followed by “READY TO RACE” then the orange KTM logo.
Hopefully this means we won't have long to wait.
