While we are barely recovering from Yamaha's presentation of the MT-09 roadster version 2021, we are of course expecting an evolution of the road car in the range: the Tracer 900. Moreover, the first photos stolen during tests in Europe have already appeared.
These photos of the 900 Yamaha Tracer 2021 GT were published by the Gazzeta Motori. Like the MT-09, it seems that the Tracer 900 GT version 2021 is a completely different motorcycle from the current version, and that Yamaha engineers practically started from scratch to update it.
The design at the front seems much more elegant, with a completely revised fairing and headlight. Two small lenticular lights appear under the double optics, which recalls the front of the R1 and R6. But what is most striking is that the side fairing goes lower, with the air inlet on the sides of the tank like on the MT-09 2021, and the screen is much more protective. A good omen for a GT meant to swallow the kilometers whatever the conditions.
Regarding the chassis, the same as those used on the new MT-09 will most likely be adopted on the new Tracer 900: a Deltabox frame combined with a new aluminum swingarm, lighter and stronger.
More details will be revealed soon. For the moment, only the roadster in the Yamaha range, the MT-09 2021, has been revealed.
