Kove is a relatively new motorcycle manufacturer from China that has been in business since 2017. At EICMA 2022, the company made its presence felt on the global stage by unveiling a number of models presumably aimed at the European market. Among the concepts presented by the company were an adventure machine, a rally motorcycle, an enduro and a sports car. The company has since officially revealed the 400RR.

Right off the bat, the Kove 400RR is currently in a class of its own, as it sports a 400cc inline four-cylinder engine. This means that the Chinese manufacturer is ahead of Kawasaki, as the highly anticipated Ninja ZX-4R has not yet been officially revealed. In addition to this, the Kove 400RR was launched with the intention of being made available in the international market – a bold move by the Chinese startup.

The design of the Kove 400RR is typical of most modern sports motorcycles. There are even fins on the front fairing. There also appears to be a forced air intake duct at the front of the fairing, between the two headlights, although it's hard to tell if it's functional or just a styling piece. Additionally, unlike the model presented at EICMA, the Kove 400RR does not have a fancy single-sided swingarm, but rather a conventional swingarm that appears to be made of aluminum.

On the performance side, the Kove 400RR features a 400 cc double overhead camshaft in-line four-cylinder engine with liquid cooling and injection. The brand claims to have developed the engine in-house, and that it develops 67 hp at 13 rpm. In addition, it weighs only 500 kg and has a top speed of 158 km/h. For the moment, Kove has not yet revealed the prices and availability dates of this model.
