Pierer Mobility Group, owner of the KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas brands, has released preliminary figures ahead of the full publication of its 2021 annual report, and things are looking good. The company says this is the 11th consecutive year it has set a new sales record, despite the pandemic.

Pierer Mobility Group sold a total of 332 motorcycles worldwide in 881, representing an increase in sales volume of 2021% compared to 23, when it sold 2020 motorcycles. Geographically, sales are spread across approximately 270 machines sold throughout Europe, with the remaining 407 sold in other markets around the world.

It is worth remembering at this point that in 2020 Pierer Mobility Group's sales decreased slightly compared to 2019, when it sold 280 motorcycles. It's clear that there were pandemic-related challenges that impacted everyone in 099. However, comparing these numbers only makes the 2020 results even better, as they also represent gains over 2021.

Let's go back to the 2021 figures, and it seems that North America, India and Australia are the main markets for the Austrian group. At this stage, the sales figures are not more detailed for these countries. As the 2021 annual report is not yet available, further details regarding geographic regions will likely become available once it is released – preliminary key figures are expected to be released on February 1, 2022.

Pierer Mobility Group has also focused on bicycles and electric vehicles, while positioning itself more broadly across all mobility platforms. In this area, overall sales have also increased. Pierer Mobility Group brands in this area include Husqvarna, R Raymon and GasGas, which together sold 102 bicycles worldwide in 753. This represents a more than significant increase compared to the 2021 models sold in 73, an increase sales by 277%. Of particular note, e-bike sales accounted for 2020 of the models sold in 40, which alone is higher than the total number of bikes of all types sold by Pierer Mobility Group in 76.
