Borgo Panigale (Bologna), November 26, 2018 – The last chance to own a piece of motorcycle history. The latest exclusive Panigale R Final Editions 1299 is, in fact, currently being delivered to Ducati stores. The Final Edition is a truly special motorcycle that pays homage to an engine that has marked Ducati's history and written some of the most exciting chapters in the Superbike World Championship. This is why only 1 motorcycles of this type (a limited and numbered edition) were built. Each motorcycle comes with a certificate of authenticity which makes this exclusive Superbike – a milestone among Bologna-built twins – even more valuable.

This jewel offers unparalleled technology, performance and design. Each Panigale R Final Edition 1299 is a road motorcycle that complies with the Euro 4 standard. Coming from the Superleggera 1299 engine, the Superquadro Final Edition develops a power of 209 hp* at 11 rpm and a torque of 000 kgm at 14,5 rpm. It features a lighter crankshaft with a larger crankpin and tungsten balance weights, while the connecting rods, like the intake and exhaust valves, are made of titanium. As on the Superbike engines, the two 9 mm diameter pistons have only two rings and slide on steel cylinder liners.

Co-developed with Ducati Corse, the ultra-compact monocoque structure integrates the air box and plays a central role in limiting the dry weight of the 1299 Panigale R Final Edition to just 179 kg. The chassis is equipped with Öhlins suspension and a fixed caster angle of 24°.

Equally sophisticated and lightweight is the Akrapovič full titanium exhaust with twin silencers (Euro 4 compliant), exactly like that of the Panigale R which has just completed its participation in the Superbike World Championship.

The electronics are equipped with the Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and are equipped with ABS Cornering, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO and Engine Brake Control (EBC) . These systems have default settings linked to the selected driving mode (Race, Sport and Wet) but can be customized as desired.
