Since its release in 2015, the Roadtec 01 has made a name for itself in the world of sport-touring tires. For 2020 Metzeler consolidates its strengths with a new SE version. This is the Roadtec 01 SE.

The elephant brand knows that the world of tires is constantly evolving. To continue to fight at the top of the highly coveted sport-touring segment, Metzeler is refining its rubber which is evolving based on its sporting predispositions, particularly in terms of agility and grip.

The Roadtec 01 SE radial range consolidates the strengths of its predecessor with the added bonus of increasing sporting demands promising better performance on the angle. We therefore note a tread which is reminiscent of that of the Roadtec 01 but with smoother shoulders thus optimizing the contact surface with the ground.

On the chemistry side, the front inherits the latest version entirely composed of silica already present on the Roadtec 01. The shoulders are smoother and the relative refinement of the structure optimizes performance with reduced and full inclination, improving the agility and stability.

At the rear, the dual-compound (chemistry identical to Roadtec 01) is a sportier optimization of the tread design of the Roadtec 01, in order to offer better driving at greater angles, as well as a gain in comfort. The tire is intended to fit supersports, roadsters and touring cars.
