It is a concept from the automobile industry appropriated by certain manufacturers to present themselves differently on the motorcycle market. The latter are mainly European and thus respond by seeking quality and price to the Japanese steamroller. Italy likes to decline the idea, but in the case of MV Agusta, we want to go further. And why not even the “dream bike”, the counterpart of the anglicism also existing in cars? With these latest Brutale models at the top of the food chain, we say that the Varese brand has initiated the movement...

The Italian manufacturer MV Agusta released details on “super naked” motorcycles Brutal 1000RR et Brutal 1000RC. The brand will launch two production versions of its new Brutal 1000, which have just been mass-produced, adding to the range of 2020 models after the exotic model Brutale 1000 Serie Gold limited edition 2019.

The models 1000RR et RC will share exactly the same 153 kW engine (208 hp or 205 hp) that the models in limited series of 300 models Gold Series (Gold series below) Brutal. And both will have the same technical sheet. This means they will be just as fast.

The weight of the production versions will also be the same as that of the Gold Series, although much less exotic and expensive materials will be used in their production. Official motorcycle information indicates that all three versions have the same operating mass of 208kg.

As is standard in the range MV Agusta, the new version Brutale 1000 “RC” will be the high-end version (besides the limited edition Oro Series), while the “RR» will be cheaper and lack exotic components. It is very likely that the model RR cheaper will swap electronic forks Ohlins against certain classic models of Marzocchi, plus a shock absorber Sachs and a few fewer carbon panels.
