After causing a sensation at EICMA 2025, MV Agusta has finally revealed the inner workings of its new technological marvel: a completely new 5-cylinder engine whose specifications shatter market standards. This 1,150 cc unit, delivering over 240 horsepower and weighing less than 60 kg, is poised to be the most ambitious innovation from Schiranna since the birth of the legendary F4.
And what might have seemed like a futuristic concept… is not. The engine is already in advanced development, confirmed by Varese R&D. MVAudacity never sleeps.
The announcement surprised everyone: a "U" shaped architecture consisting of a front 3-cylinder crankshaft and a rear 2-cylinder crankshaft. A solution never before seen in production.
MV Agusta explains that this configuration guarantees: exceptional smoothness of operation, minimized vibrations, and an unprecedented dynamic balance.
Another strong promise: thanks to the specific firing order of the five-cylinder engine, the brand ensures exceptional torque distribution and great ease of driving, without resorting to variable valve timing (VVT).

Narrower than an inline 4-cylinder, shorter than a V4, this engine has a displacement of 850 to 1150 cc (modular platform), power of more than 240 horsepower at over 16,000 rpm, a minimum torque 135 Nm at 8,500 rpma weight of less than 60 kg.
Thanks to an electric water pump and oil pump, this engine also plays the smart electrification card to optimize performance and responsiveness.
