Inspired by the glorious past of the Italian brand's world of motor racing, the Superveloce enchants with its lines and shapes resulting from the great historical heritage of the Var manufacturer. Neo-retro style integrating current technology: these are the values ​​on which this unique motorcycle is based. Appearing in 2018, the Superveloce is a model derived from the F3, but presents a timeless shape developed specifically for speed. For 2021, the Superveloce range is updated in terms of content, a technological advancement that aims to improve the driving sensation.

For 2021, the major renewal begins under the fairings, the 798 cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine now complies with the Euro 5 standard, but still develops 147 hp at 13.000 rpm.

 

 

To meet this standard, MV Agusta had to use a DLC treatment on the valve lifters but also use new titanium valve guides to reduce friction and increase fuel efficiency. Varese engineers have also completely redesigned the exhaust system from manifold to silencer, while focusing on compliance with Euro 5 standards.

According to MV Agusta, larger injectors are now used (for an additional +0,5 bar pressure) in order to increase mid-range performance and the ECU has been updated to accommodate all these changes mechanical. Finally, the new oil cooler increases cooling efficiency by 5%.

 

 

Alongside the engine updates, MV Agusta has also worked on the electronics, to improve throttle response. A new clutch is introduced for easier use and quieter operation.

The Varese brand introduced an IMU for the first time on the Superveloce, while also integrating an ABS system from Continental. This makes it possible to integrate cornering ABS, very effective traction control and anti-wheelie control. According to MV Agusta this allows you to execute a controlled wheelie instead of completely preventing it. Pretty fun!

 

 

The Superveloce now also comes with launch control and the Italians are also increasing the level of service with an improved two-way Quick-Shift. All of this is configurable via the new 5,5-inch color TFT display, which can also be connected to a smartphone for navigation or use the MV Ride app.

The chassis is not to be outdone and has also been redesigned to improve rigidity. Marzocchi 43 mm hydraulic inverted fork with adjustment system for the front, Sachs simple progressive shock absorber also adjustable with aluminum oscillating single base at the rear. The braking system is based on a twin 320mm floating disc paired with a 4-piston Brembo radial brake caliper at the front, while at the rear there is a 220mm steel disc with 2-piston Brembo caliper. pistons. All for a dry weight of 173 kg.

 

 

While the standard and S versions are equipped with the same 798 cc powertrain, the latter pays particular attention to detail, characterized by a new white livery, brown Alcantara leather saddle and tubeless spoke rims, a tribute to motorcycles from the past, but with the efficiency, weights and all the advantages of a modern wheel. The Racing kit reinforces its sporty character thanks to an Arrow exhaust with three outlets and an ECU with its dedicated mapping.
