Norton Motorcycles in trouble. The legendary English brand is placed under judicial administration following some 300 pounds of unpaid debts.

English taxes demand 300 pounds from Norton. If the manufacturer was able to turn things around in 000 and avoid bankruptcy, it is in trouble at the start of 2012 despite a desire for new models in preparation, such as the V2020 RR currently up for pre-order.

BDO, receiver, is responsible for settling the brand's various debts in order to avoid bankruptcy and allow the manufacturer to overcome its difficulties even if today the lights are red. Sad news for this historic manufacturer which risks passing into the hands of foreign (Chinese?) investors… The deadline for settling the various liabilities is set in a few days, February 12 to be precise.
For the record, the Donington factory employs around a hundred people.
