Presented in the form of a concept bike in Milan last year, the Leoncino 800 is arriving at Benelli in 2020. Certainly nothing very official but it should nevertheless look like that.

According to the British Bennetts, Benelli is preparing to unveil its new Leoncino, a version very close to what we had already seen in the form of a concept bike during the last EICMA (Salon de Milan) but which, unfortunately, loses in finish.
Based on the 752S, the next Leoncino will be powered by the 764 cm3 twin-cylinder engine. The 76 horses promised will be responsible for moving the 223 kilos of the big Leoncino... a bit of light power to compete on equal terms with the competition.
If the general lines are very close to the Milanese prototype, it is clear that in the details the final version is entitled to less consideration like the Brembo calipers replaced by in-house elements, the Excel spoke rims abandoned in favor of standard spoke rims or the Marzocchi fork, initially planned, replaced on the marketed version.

New in 2020

If nothing has yet been made official at Benelli, the 2020 vintage of this 800 should appear in a few weeks at the next EICMA… and immediately in our columns.
