After the MT-03, it's the turn of the 125 to get its makeover. Yamaha imposes a more radical style on the 125 cm3 category which takes the opportunity to inherit a new engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation, variable valve actuation system). The dark side is shifting into high gear...

The mind " Dark Side of Japan » takes over the small MT which is evolving in depth for 2020, particularly in terms of the engine. It is therefore a latest generation technology which arrives with a variable distribution system (VVA) derived from the YZF-R 125. Resulting in a single-cylinder with higher performance at low, medium and high revs. Note that maximum power is at 10 rpm, or 000 rpm more than the previous vintage with a smoother and more economical engine.

New gearbox, slipper clutch (A&S) new to improve driving comfort, the new 2020 model does not skimp on technical solutions to be at the top of the category. As for the cycle part, a new Deltabox frame arrives, with revised geometry on the program. Wheelbase reduced by 30 mm, aluminum (frame and swingarm) improving mass centering, 41 mm inverted fork (130 mm travel), front disc (292 mm) radially mounted, 10 liter tank (11,5 liters in the past), modification of ergonomics (more upright position with forward footrests and raised handlebars), front face with double optics and LED headlight, shortened rear part, instrumentation with LCD screen... this MT-125 version 2020 is ready to compete against the competition with the added bonus of a sharp look and a more compact silhouette.

The MT-125 will be available from December 2019 in Ice Fluo, Icon Blue and Midnight Black colors.
