This new V4 suit intended for competition was designed by the RST racing department, it currently represents the ultimate in suit racing within the range. This new equipment is the result of close collaboration between the service Breed Department and drivers Ian Hutchinson, 16-time winner of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy race, and Alex Lowes, three-time winner of the Suzuka 8 Hours.

The V4 suit is made mainly from pieces of kangaroo leather and supplemented with bovine leather. The kangaroo construction brings the advantage of lightness and flexibility, helping to reduce rider fatigue on the track while providing high abrasion resistance, a necessary condition for racing. In addition, bovine leather is applied to the buttocks as well as the forearms, which provides increased resistance in these areas which are particularly exposed in the event of a fall. The suit is also complemented by the application of an aramid lining for additional protection. The interior elbow areas are reinforced by the addition of Superfabric inserts, a textile material that resists abrasion by promoting gliding thanks to a rough surface composed of ceramic studs. Stretchy and durable Scholler Keprotec fabric provides flexibility in movement on the motorcycle. Finally, reinforcements with topstitching have been applied to prevent the risk of tearing between the panels.

For added comfort, the V4 suit features perforated panels on the front and back of the suit. The cuffs of the suit are made of neoprene, like the collar and the ends of the legs, which has the advantage of limiting irritation. Note that applications on these silicone parts allow gloves and boots to be held in place. The V4 model is distinguished by its sizing and the half sizes it offers. In fact, for a perfect fit, thirteen sizes are available.

The suit has numerous integrated and external protections. These come in the form of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) shells on the shoulders and knees, which allow the suit to slide on the asphalt, thus promoting sliding rather than abrasion. Technically the TPU material used provides more resistance than carbon shells. The external shells of the V4 suit offer a lower coefficient of friction, allowing better sliding capabilities in the event of a fall. Under the suit, approved protections are deployed on the shoulders (level 2), elbows (level 2), back (level 2), hips (level 2), knees (level 1). The suit comes with white knee and elbow sliders. Colorful models are available separately as accessories.
