It is based on the observation that winter gloves sometimes take longer to break in due to their extra thickness induced by the superposition of layers that are both protective and insulating, that SPIDI embarked on the development of the new WinterTourer. Equipped with a large expandable accordion-type panel at the joints to cover a protective shell, it reduces the break-in time of the gloves and facilitates the flexion of the fingers for better grip of the levers without any discomfort from the first uses.
Combined with neoprene inserts, this device provides an answer to those looking for softness and flexibility in a winter glove. Neoprene is a soft, stretchy material with an effective insulating property.
The WinterTourer gloves are waterproof thanks to SPIDI's own H2OUT® membrane, they benefit from 3M Thinsulate insulation to ensure effective protection against the cold with a microfleece interior lining. To facilitate the use of GPS and smartphones easily on a daily basis, the gloves have a “TouchScreen” type coating on the exterior surface of the fingers.
On the safety side, the gloves incorporate an approved upper shell combined with an ergonomic insert which contributes to both shock absorption and comfort while particularly exposed areas are lined to increase their resistance to abrasion.
