Triumph

Triumph is preparing us for the arrival of a Speed Triple 1200 RR model which should mark its era by conveniently recalling a delicious past with very current ingredients. A beautiful journey through time that manufacturers offer us today in their range and which we would be wrong to deprive ourselves of. This opus is a new opportunity to stand out favorably on the road. The latest video that the Hinckley brand has put online is promising in this respect, pending the official reveal promised for September 14.

The first images arrived on 17 August but this time things are becoming clearer on the side of Triumph about a Speed Triple 1200RR highly anticipated. The model is apparently playing a retro card that should captivate hearts. A duty of memory which, however, only concerns aesthetics. The insides will in fact be the 1 cm160 capable of delivering 180 hp at 10 rpm and a maximum torque of 750 Nm at 125 rpm.

Triumph will pull out all the stops

The 6-axis IMU inertial unit will certainly be confirmed, just as the chassis will probably be that of the RS. Öhlins suspension fully adjustable in preload, compression and rebound, with the NPIX 30 fork at the front and a TTX 36 monoshock without levers at the rear, and directly anchored to the swingarm are expected. Semi-active suspension could even arrive. The braking system could also benefit from Brembo Stylema calipers with 320 mm discs, and Brembo MCS at the front. Not bad for a Café Racer…
