Yamaha is offering a facelift to its Tracer 700 which, for 2020, is entitled to a real update, the first since its launch in 2016. More sportiness and false R1 airs… Here is the new Tracer 700.

Now Euro5, the 689 cm3 twin-cylinder benefits from an update of the ignition and injection, a new exhaust, a revisited air intake which, in the end, will make it lose a little more than one horse (now 73,4 hp at 8 rpm). In other words, nothing especially since the weight does not change, still promising 750 kilos.

On the cycle side we will like the arrival of a new fork and a rear shock absorber now adjustable in preload and rebound. A new saddle (saddle height + 5 mm) is arriving for this 2020 model year, along with the LCD screen-style instrumentation. LEDs appear at the turn signals while the handguards and windshield have a new design.

On the exterior side, the modifications speak for themselves with an aggressive front end with a light signature (LEDs) which is reminiscent of a certain Yamaha R1. Wider handlebars, revised front mudguard, the new Tracer has a facelift for availability next February in the following colors: Icon Grey, Sonic Gray or Phantom Blue.
