For 2026, the XSR900 GP honors one of the most influential and prominent figures in the history of Grand Prix motorcycle racing: the "king" Kenny robertsThe first American to win a motorcycle Grand Prix, King Kenny, winner of three 500cc titles, raced for Yamaha for thirteen years. He remains an AMA legend, known for his memorable performances, notably at the unforgettable 1975 Indy Mile.
Embodying Yamaha's racing heritage, the 2026 XSR900 GP is reminiscent of Kenny Roberts' YZR500, a Grand Prix winner in the 1970s and 1980s.
