BIRTHDAYS!!!

Without yet giving the details of each event, each of which will be the subject of a specific press release, the Sunday Ride Classic 2020 will be the location of several BIG anniversaries this year, each having a moment of entertainment during the weekend:

75 years of MV Agusta : Unique exhibition of MV Agusta and MAGNI motorcycles, parade with Giacomo Agostini

65 years of Yamaha : exhibition, gathering of owners, signing sessions of 10 Yamaha riders, specific parade, equipped parking lot etc... enough to share with the staff of Yamaha Moto France and Yamaha Europe the 65 years of passion for motorcycle sport through men and women. machines that have forged the history of the 3 tuning forks brand!

50 years of motorcycling at Circuit Paul Ricard : Inaugurated in April 1970, the Paul Ricard circuit is a beautiful fifty-year-old circuit which has always hosted the highest level of motorcycling: Grand Prix, 200 Mile race, World Endurance Championship, Kawa Cup, French championships, etc...
Having been the event to reopen the circuit to motorcycles in March 2009, the Sunday Ride Classic was ideal to celebrate these 50 years of passion for 2 wheels on the Var route.
There will notably be a major conference around François CHEVALIER (general director from 1970 to 1999) with the first witnesses of this avant-garde circuit and the very first motorcycle competitors….

40 years of the Yamaha 350 RDLC : It will have given birth to many vocations with the famous Yamaha Gauloises Cup. The “water bomb” was a legendary motorcycle from the 80s, the absolute peak of sportiness.

30 years of Alain Michel's side car title : He won his first GP in a side car in 1977 at Paul Ricard, then he became World Champion in the discipline in 1990, Alain Michel will be present at the SRC to share the emotions of a unique career

25 years of the KTM Duke : Oh yes ! It's already been 25 years since KTM opened its range to the production of road models with the 620 Duke!!! An anniversary that will resonate in the name of the arrival of the new Super Duke 1290 model but also with 4 exceptional models coming especially from the Austrian factory to remember the major milestones of the KTM sports family!

20 years of Olivier Jacque's World title in 250 : A great French driver, a title acquired on the last finish line of the last race of the season! Olivier Jacque will be at the SRC for this great moment... And normally the whole team of the time should come together for a photo of the same team, 20 years later: Guy Coulon, Fido, etc.

To be continued…
