Nicholas Bulega was stopped by a technical issue during FP2 of the Superbike World Championship in Jerez, Spain, but…

Even a technical problem on the Ducati halfway through the second session didn't stop Nicolò Bulega's offensive. A dominant Friday for the world championship challenger
After a quick check by the technicians following the loss of liquid reported by Andrea Iannone, the talented Italian driver confirmed the very good impression left during the morning session. Nicholas Bulega failed to improve on his time from the previous session, partly due to the rising temperatures. But standing out in such a complicated session shows that aiming for three wins is not a utopia for Ducati. Toprak Razgatlioglu did not rise to the challenge: the BMW does not seem to be in the best shape on the slippery track of Jerez, but his lead in the championship is such (39 points) that the Turkish ace can cross the finish line even with the bare minimum.

Sam and Andrea stand out
During a rather unusual session, Sam Lowes, back after a round of absence due to physical problems (third time), and an excellent
Andrea Iannone, just behind, stood out. Both did better than Razgatlioglu, who did little driving and had a long chat with the BMW technicians. It is clear that he will try to celebrate the world title from the top step of the podium, but facing such a resurgent Bulega, the task will not be easy.
Toprak will be champion if…
Toprak Razgatlioglu can celebrate his third world title on Saturday afternoon, two races before the end. The condition is simple: BMW's Turkish ace must win. At that point, even with Bulega second, he would have a +44 point lead, with only 37 points left to win between the Superpole Race and Race 2. For Ducati, it would already be a small feat to push the verdict to the final day of the season.

Rinaldi and Iannone, what a fall!
Ruben Rinaldi et Andrea Iannone
crashed heavily at Turn 11, one of the fastest on the Andalusian circuit. Both riders came out of it okay: a few bruises, but nothing more. Halfway through the race, the former MotoGP rider was in third place in the standings, just behind Bulega, who was stuck in the pits, and Sam Lowes. This incident may jeopardize Andrea's final weekend with Go Eleven, but the Panigale V4 R did not suffer any significant damage.
