The Ducati rider finally found his way to victory this Sunday, winning the last race on the Most circuit ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu and Jonathan Rea.

It took more than two months for Scott Redding to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. More than two months had indeed passed since Scott Redding's last success in Superbike, during the first round of the season contested in Aragon last May.

The Englishman had already come close to success just yesterday, losing his duel in the very last lap against Toprak Razgatlioglu. The former MotoGP rider then did not hide his annoyance at the maneuver considered rough by his opponent, but in truth it could just as easily have been frustration at having been knocked to the post on the wire by the Turkish.

Starting grid Race 2:

First victory for Redding since Aragon

But today, Redding finally won his case. Starting from the second position on the grid, the number 45 initially let Andrea Locatelli slip away in front of him before gradually gaining momentum to take the lead on the fifth lap after a nice battle, again facing Razgatlioglu .

There was subsequently no real match between the two men, the Yamaha rider being deprived of a hat-trick which could have allowed him to regain the lead in the championship against Jonathan Rea. Redding thus created a lead oscillating between one and two seconds over the laps, to quietly sign his second success this year.

The right operation for Razgatlioglu

Razgatlioglu therefore finished in second place after having held his place and achieved his main objective, namely to finish ahead of Rea and take a few more points from the championship leader. Arriving in the Czech Republic 37 points behind the Kawasaki rider, Razgatlioglu leaves... just three points behind.

Suffice to say that his poor performance two weeks ago at Assen has been erased, and that the games are relaunched as part of the quest for the 2021 Superbike title. In fourth position, we find Locatelli, who once again put in a good performance to secure a third top 4 this weekend.

The Italian driver is ahead of Michael Ruben Rinaldi, fifth, and Alex Lowes. Michael van der Mark, for his part, got back on track after a very difficult first part of the weekend, finishing the race in seventh position ahead of Garrett Gerloff, Tom Sykes and Álvaro Bautista. Beyond the top 10 we then find Leon Haslam and Chaz Davies, ahead of Tito Rabat, Kohta Nozane and Christophe Ponsson, who finishes in 15th place and thus registers a new point in his championship tally.

Finally, note that the start was marked by a collision at the first corner involving no less than three drivers: the regional rider of the stage Karel Hanika, Axel Bassani and Alessandro Delbianco, who replaced Leandro Mercado this weekend, who withdrew due to a tested positive for Covid-19. Only Hanika was able to return to the track following this race, finishing in 18th place.
