Arrested Thursday evening with a virtual podium composed of Nicholas Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), of Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) and the reigning two-time world champion Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), the official driver test of the World Championship Superbike on the Barcelona-Catalonia circuit got off to a smooth start on its second and final day, an overnight rain having left the asphalt still partially wet despite a beautiful sun, when the lights turned green at 10 a.m. this morning.

Green like the Kawasakialex lowes, the leader of the general classification, who showed himself to be the bravest by taking the track alone for half an hour after three-quarters of an hour, without setting a time.

It was therefore only around 11:15 a.m. that number 22 was joined by the other pilots of the World SBK, to start with Testsuta Nagashima (HRC Test Team) and Álvaro Bautista, in the tenuous hope of working to beat the 1'40.304 achieved by Nicholas Bulega the day before, or even the 1'40.264 slammed by Álvaro Bautista during the 2023 Superpole.

After the two Ducati officials took power, it was Andrea Iannone (Team GoEleven) who led the way for an hour, in 1'41.485 aboard his yellow Panigale, while the drivers were soon going to take an informal lunch break.

But before getting satisfied, Toprak Razgatlioglu scored 1'41.441 at the top of the table, thus confirming the good performance of his BMW this year.
