It was following a contact just after the finish line between Roberto Rolfo and Lucas Mahias that the Race Direction decided to penalize the Yamaha rider for a dangerous finish.

Lucas got a little too close to the Italian's MV Agusta and hit it slightly. The impact was not violent, but was enough to push Rolfo to his right, which made him go off the track and into the grass.

The speed of his MV had been raised to 272,7 km/h on one of the earlier passes during this race, and that's about the speed he came out onto the grass. Although very surprised, according to his words, to find himself in this situation at this place, Rolfo managed to return to the track without damage, while Mahias apologized to him several times by gesture.

The Race Direction considered the action dangerous and penalized Lucas by one second, which allowed him to retain his second place. But not by much because the third Anthony West ended at 1.544. So it looked like a warning and a call for calm from those in charge. Obviously, it would be desirable not to start again.

We see from the front in the photo below the direction of Mahias' motorcycle towards that of Rolfo:
