Superstock 1000 in Aragon: Florian Marino brilliant second

Sixth in qualifying, Florian Marino started from the second row on the starting grid, just ahead of Jérémy Guarnoni, who set the ninth time.

At the start, the temperature was 15° for the air and 28° for the track. Michael Ruben Rinaldi took the lead in front Maximilian Scheib, Mike Jones and Florian Marino. Jeremy Guarnoni was seventh. Rinaldi and Scheib stood out with a 1.6 lead over Jones, while Razgatlioglu took fourth position from Florian Marino.

The Turk and the Frenchman overtook Jones and were now fighting for third place on the podium, 3 seconds behind the two leaders. Jérémy Guarnoni was in ninth place at 6.7 after the third of thirteen laps. Maxime Cudeville was twenty-eighth.

Florian Marino moved to third after overtaking Toprak Razgatlioglu. But he remained threatening, while Jones fifth was only 0.7 behind them. Frederick Sandi fell without gravity. Rinaldi and his Ducati opened up a gap of 2.7 on Scheib, who shortly after fell without seriousness.

With 7 laps remaining, Florian Marino was in second position, 4.2 behind Rinaldi, with Razgatlioglu and Jones still behind him. Jérémy Guarnoni was seventh, battling with Luca Vitali.

Marino continued his forcing and was ahead of Razgatlioglu by a full second 4 laps from the checkered flag. He gradually increased his lead to 2.3, 4.5 behind leader Rinaldi. Guarnoni remained in seventh position. Florian closed to 3.9 behind leader Rinaldi, but there were only three laps remaining.

Finally Michael Ruben Rinaldi won ahead of Florian Marino, who had a good performance in the championship. Jérémy Guarnoni finished sixth while Maxime Cudeville finished twenty-eighth.
