The Franco-Swiss CarXpert Interwetten team traveled with a new aerodynamic concept in its boxes to Qatar.
The CarXpert Interwetten team has always taken care of its aerodynamics, generally in small, barely visible touches, but effective if we judge by the top speeds of its motorcycles.
Resulting from a wind tunnel study, the saddle of Dominique Aegerter's Kalex this time has two vertical carbon paddles whose aim is to channel air flows into the rear area of the motorcycle to reduce drag, or even generate an anti-aspiration effect.
Unlike all the wings already present in MotoGP, this time it is obviously not a question of providing the slightest support to the front axle of the motorcycle.
The idea is nevertheless interesting and could even spread like wildfire across all categories if the improvement proves tangible.
