The dashboard is the place on a motorcycle where riders and mechanics can receive as much information as they need. Depending on where the motorcycle is, whether on the track or in the pit lane, the dashboard can display different information to indicate what the user needs at that moment!

First of all, in this image you can see a lot of different information, with things like suspension position, oil temperature and brake pressure. As the motorcycle heats up, mechanics check the motorcycle's various functions and temperatures to make sure everything is working as it should. On the left of the screen we can see different settings for engine braking and traction control. The rider can adjust them using the buttons on the handlebars.

When the driver is on the circuit, during practice, qualifying or a race, the dashboard will display different information. Information such as gear position, rev counter and stopwatch will be much more important. Things like brake pressure and engine temperature readings are less important to the rider at this time, so the information displayed is tailored to the needs and situation. One more thing with the dashboard is that teams can send messages to the driver during sessions and races with information about possible sanctions, gaps to drivers behind or in front or any information the team deems necessary. This is the only way for teams to communicate with the driver during sessions other than the pit board!
