While all the other brands took part in a test day in Brno on Monday (see full report here), Ducati had opted for the same activity but on the Misano circuit this Tuesday, in preparation for the Grand Prix which will be held there on September 11.

The Ducati press release is laconic, without any photos, but it has the merit of existing and of presenting us with times.

The Ducati team concludes a day of testing at the Misano Circuit

The Ducati Team concluded a test day scheduled for this afternoon at the Misano World Circuit, in preparation for the Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera which will take place at the circuit in Romagna from September 9 to 11.

The two Ducati factory riders toured extensively with their Desmosedici GP motorcycles in perfect weather conditions, with clear skies and temperatures of 28°/45° for air and track.

Andrea Dovizioso completed 93 laps, with a best time of 1'33.195, but ended the day with a crash at turn 4 in which he twisted his right knee, while Andrea Iannone completed a total of 59 laps , achieving his fastest time in 1'33.115.

As a reminder, the existing record is 1'32.146, achieved by Jorge Lorenzo in qualifying last year, and done in Bridgestone, of course.

Let's just hope that the Italian champion is back for Silverstone in 10 days...
