Taking advantage of ideal weather conditions, the Jerez track continued to experience good activity since our point at 13 p.m. (see here).

Certainly, Andrea Dovizioso, the new track record holder with his 1'37.663 achieved this morning, did not kill himself at work, with only 13 laps completed this afternoon. But behind him we now find Cal Crutchlow who completed 66 additional laps allowing him a better time of 1'37.818. He is the driver who drove the most today, with no less than 90 laps (as a reminder, the Grand Prix has 27 laps)!

Jorge Lorenzo also improved his best time this morning by 4 hundredths, but, last of the three drivers to have clocked 1'37, therefore fell one place in the final ranking under the assault of the British driver.

Improvement, always, for Andrea Iannone which positions its new GSX–RR in fourth position.

In 1'38.314, Espargaro Pol confirms the progress of the KTMs while Tito Rabat continues to show himself much more at ease on the handlebars of his Ducati than he did on that of his Honda. What hasn't changed about him is his ability to line up the laps since he once again showed himself to be one of the most diligent drivers on the track, with 82 laps completed.

It comes as no surprise that Franco Morbidelli turns out to be the best Rookie, but, 8 tenths behind, Alex Marquez is far from ridiculous for this first real MotoGP test offered by the Marc VDS team in the absence of Tom Luthi.

The track will remain open tomorrow, for those who wish it and did not ride yesterday, but we do not expect a lot of traffic...
