It's not one, not two, not three, but four Ducatis which occupy the first places in this MotoGP test on the Red Bull Ring, and even seven in the Top 8.

A true hegemony that only Maverick Vinales tried to break on the handlebars of his Suzuki by positioning himself 5th this afternoon after a small fall, just behind a Casey Stoner who worked in short runs of 2 or 3 laps, which does not bode well for those who wait a possible wild card.

Conversely, Mika Kallio really wore out the Austrian tarmac, with a record 91 laps covered on the handlebars of one of the two Ktm RC16 which came out honorably of this first confrontation.
The Yamaha worked on the tires Michelin as Iannone and Stoner have tried the new chassis that Dovizioso had at Sachsenring and Sam Lowes and Mike Di Meglio were rolling the Aprilias without transponder.

So, apart from the fact that this circuit seems particularly well suited to Ducatis, it is still difficult to draw any other lessons from it, especially since Jack Miller had done a better “fresh” lap this morning, and we are not talking about the lap in 1'19 which was posted then canceled.

Tomorrow is another day and it is likely that all drivers, whatever the field in which they work, try to set a time at the end of the day...
