Until now, the wings that now equip MotoGP seemed likely to become more and more similar between the different manufacturers present in the premier category.

And, although in two distinct elements on each side of the bike, it is not the latest version of those of the Ducati appeared during the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic which really deviated from this trend.

On the other hand, Yamaha really innovated on Monday by trying with Valentino Rossi when test in Brno a new concept in which the wing is only the final part of an entire aerodynamic device starting with the mudguard.

This is now reduced to its congruent part but seems to direct the air towards an intermediate transverse blade connecting the nose of the fairing to its sides.

Faced with the complexity of such a device, photos are more explicit than words, and, while awaiting further information, we will be careful not to make the slightest hypothesis as to the usefulness of such a device about which no one has not yet made any truly positive comments.

Valentino Rossi: " The fairing is there to reduce wheelies but I didn't really feel any difference with the one we have. Maybe this isn't the ideal route to evaluate it. In any case, we won't have it next weekend in Austria ».

And this also includes Danny Aldridge, the only one authorized to judge whether this aerodynamic device complies with the regulations or not…

In any case, congratulations to Yamaha for exploring new avenues which could perhaps, in the long term and subject to approval, lead to adjustable multi-blade systems like in F1!
