In short, good work, from a retired pilot but obviously still as fast!
The only downside of the day was a very small fall when he had already significantly improved his first two sections thanks to the use of a soft rear tire.
We will easily forgive him...
Casey Stoner, 1'23.865, 3rd: “The day was rather positive but I really didn't do many laps because the Test Team had to put Michele Pirro on the bike to do some testing this afternoon. We did a lot of short runs to modify the bike each time, then we compared the two chassis, and a little bit of moving and tuning the bike to make it more stable when braking on a good surface.
I'm happy and satisfied but also a little disappointed about the end because it was the first time I had to attack on a soft tire in four years, and it didn't go well as I crashed at the corner #6.
I'm quite happy with the hard tire and the bike runs well, even though we used the old chassis for both days, and I think we can ride even faster with the new version. »
