The Catalunya track welcomes MotoGP for testing whose first day was disrupted by rain. The second started badly with the violent fall of a Tito Rabat who was injured and saw his motorcycle catch fire in the impact. The Avintia driver, teammate of Xavier Simeon, went to the Barcelona hospital.
The session was interrupted at the red flag and the marshals used their fire extinguishers to put out the Ducati. At the medical center, Rabat complained about his left arm and he was taken to Quiron Dexeus Hospital. There were fears of a broken arm and shoulder but a message from the Avintia team indicates that this is not the case, with doctors now doing more checks for possible ligament injuries in the left elbow.

During this morning, Jorge Lorenzo worked on new ergonomics on his GP18 since he ended up exhausted during the French Grand Prix, citing a tank that did not allow him to find all his sensations.
When taking the lunch break, Crutchlow, Márquez et Iannone led the dance in front Aleix Espargaro.
