Unlike many competing teams present in Jerez, the Tech3 Moto2 team had chosen Aragon to make its first preparations for 2017, before returning next Monday to the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia.

Xavi Verge, rookie of the year 2016, has calibrated the cycle part in view of that of 2017 while Remy Gardner became familiar with French motorcycles. Even though the latter suffered a small fall on the second day, the two Tech3 team riders were satisfied with their tests and are now eager to continue racing next week in Valencia.

Xavi Verge : “I am happy with what we achieved in Aragon and we are all satisfied with the result. Today I tested a lot of important factors and now the Tech3 team more or less knows in which direction we should continue to go next year, which was the goal of these tests. I did a lot of laps and managed to lower the best time I set at the Aragon Grand Prix, and that's very encouraging. So we can leave here with a positive feeling and we have two more days of testing in Valencia starting on Monday, where we will do the final checks on the different parts and settings so that we can go on our winter vacation in having completed a good part of the preparation work for the 2017 season. Finally, I must thank the team for their efforts and I am excited for next week.”

Remy gardner : “Today didn't go according to our plans, but after the positive time we had yesterday, I'm looking forward to getting back on the Mistral 610 next week and continuing to progress with my new team. This morning we started well, but later, unfortunately, I crashed and we couldn't achieve everything we needed to do during the rest of the session. This is a shame because we lost valuable time on track, but however, my initial feeling is very good and the first day went better than expected. I don’t have to wait long to get back on my Mistral 610 because we’re testing in Valencia on Monday, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve there.”
