The off-season tests are over for a Moto2 category which leaves the Jerez track to head towards the Losail track in Qatar. There, the first Grand Prix of the calendar will open the hostilities of the season in a peloton where KTM and Kalex will want to compete for the lion's share. Some are already ready and impatient to fight, like the South African Brad Binder, official from Mattighofen.

The former Moto3 World Champion in 2016, who suffered so much during his debut in Moto2 in 2017, wants to take his revenge in 2018. His end of the race last year showed that he had recovered all his means after a long injury and that he had grasped the strings of Moto2. He ends his offseason on such a good note that he already feels capable of winning.

« Fighting for victory from the start? That would be great » admits the teammate Miguel Oliveira. " My goal is to pick up where I left off in 2017 ". Which means with the status of a podium candidate. And he seems to have the means: “ There is nothing to change on the bike. I feel great and the KTM is exactly how I want it. I am calm before approaching the Qatar Grand Prix. We are in a good position. I'm very comfortable on the bike and a great fit with the team. Everything is fine. The next step will be to get situated once we start driving in Qatar ».

« You never know what can happen because everyone is there to win. I set some goals for myself this year. In each race, I want to achieve the best possible performance. If I am on the podium in every race, it is clear that I will have a good chance of fighting for the title ».

Just that ! Miguel Oliveira recently announced that this teammate would give him headaches. He didn't think he was saying that well. Binder completed its Jerez tests in third place overall, behind the two other KTMs in lecuona and Sam Lowes.
