Obviously, perfection is not of this world, and ending the three days of IRTA testing with a big crash is not really the ideal scenario before attacking the long weekend of the Qatar Grand Prix.

However, Fabio Quartararo recovered both without injury and without loss of confidence, and that is the main thing.

The French driver will still have three days of free and timed practice before the race, even though his level is already excellent.

His consistency was in fact almost perfect throughout the seven sessions in which he participated, after having preferred to abstain during two morning sessions due to the temperature being too high compared to that expected for the race.

 Fabio Quartararo, Day 1, 3rd (2: 06.622):

“Due to a high temperature, we only went out in two sessions today, but they were both positive runs. In the second session I took to the track with a hard tire and wore it out until the end. I was also comfortable with new tires during the third session. I'm satisfied because I did my time on my own. We have taken a big step forward compared to Jerez. Tomorrow's goal is to improve my time even further. »

Fabio Quartararo, Day 2, 2nd (2: 06.193):

“The day was very positive for us and I was able to manage to maintain a good pace on worn tires at the end. I am satisfied because I know that I have good sensations with the soft tire and the medium. We are improving day by day, and now we can prepare for the race with determination. We are ready to fight. »

Fabio Quartararo, Day 3, 3nd (2: 05.717):

“It was a good day for us and we were able to fit several new tires. At the end, while I was doing a lap to try to beat Antonelli's best time, I crashed at turn #5. I opened the throttle too early and was thrown to the ground after a highside. It was a heavy fall, but without any damage, and I didn't lose confidence in the bike. Right now I'm pretty happy and ready for the race. My team did a really good job and now I just have to step on the gas. »
