After the benchmark set by Andrea Iannone yesterday, in 1'38.280 (see here), it was his teammate Alex Rins, who did not ride during the first day of testing, who took to the Jerez track first this morning as far as the MotoGP riders are concerned.

It was quickly followed by Tito Rabat who, in three laps, managed to record a very satisfactory 1'39.473, one second faster than the Suzuki rider.

One hour later, Jorge Lorenzo however, achieved an impressive 1'37.965, just 5 hundredths off his 2015 record (1'37.910) which remains unrivaled for the moment despite the recent resurfacing of the Andalusian track.

It was without counting on Andrea Dovizioso who, in 1'37.663, became the fastest motorcycle rider on the Jerez track shortly before 13 p.m.!
