The Honda HRC team completed its three days of training yesterday at the Jerez circuit with its two test drivers, the Japanese Hiroshi Aoyama and Takumi Takahashi.

Private tests required, there was no official communication on this subject, but the Jerez circuit released two photos while informing that, despite a beautiful sun, the temperatures were too low to ride in the morning, forcing the two drivers to start their days after noon.

Both photos show the Honda RC213V in the configuration used by Marc Marquez, namely trapezoidal air intake and large side fins (Dani Pedrosa uses an ovoid air intake and smaller fins. When he does it…).

Work on the 2018 Honda therefore continues, for once quite calmly given Marc Marquez's times in Valencia, while waiting for the first official 2018 tests which will be held from January 28 to 30 in Sepang.

As a reminder, Hiroshi Aoyama will take the reins of the Idemitsu Honda Asia team in 2018 (see here) while Takumi Takahashi will be the official pilot HRC in Japanese Superbike and at the Suzuka 8 Hours (see here).
