We see it again this morning, and everything suggests that this new frame available for Ducati riders has been hollowed out in its front part in order to provide greater flexibility favoring passages in curves, the weak point of the machines of Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo.
The holes made, which are not small, were covered with adhesive aluminum for the sake of (relative) discretion and resulted in different welds...
As a reminder, by the Borgo Panigale technicians' own admission, the Ducatis are very strong in braking and acceleration but their main point to improve concerns the speed of passing curves. However, at the maximum angle, the frame is an integral part of the suspension system, especially since the fork itself is in compression and works laterally with enormous friction.
In practice, we could enlarge the line aiming that it is almost stuck, hence the interest in having a fairly flexible frame from the front...
