On the occasion of the first day of testing on this circuit where the Thai Grand Prix will take place next October, Danilo Petrucci achieved the sixth fastest time with a total of twenty-four drivers present. In 1'31.003, he was 0.206 behind the best time of Cal Crutchlow.

He devoted himself entirely this Friday to the fine-tuning of his 2018 version Ducati Desmosedici and his sensations were good from the first laps of the track. This is how he occupied first position in the provisional general classification at the end of the first hour. Halfway through the session, when all the drivers were stopping in the pits due to the intense heat, Danilo was in fourth place.

In the afternoon, after working extensively on the settings, he attempted a fast lap and placed sixth, also being awarded the best top speed with 331,3 km/h.

According to Danilo Petrucci, who are " I liked the track straight away. We expected to find a circuit with a lot of aggressive braking, but many corners felt fast.

“The bike behaved very well. We are competitive. In the afternoon we also worked on tuning.

“The good thing is that we focused on the 2018 bike and things went well. I have to admit it is very hot but we are preparing for what the race conditions will be like. »
