After setting the sixth time the day before in 1'31.003, Petrucci retained the same position in the standings on this second day, but improved his time to 1'30.367, 0.398 behind Marc Marquez's best performance.

Most of Danilo's day was spent comparing different tires, resulting in him completing a total of 75 laps. He set the pace, and shortly before midday he was in second position behind Marc Marquez.

He continued his work at the same pace in the afternoon, preferring to reserve his fast lap attempt for the third and final day, which should pose no problem due to favorable weather.
