It's almost a second faster than yesterday that Johann Zarco completed the 4554 meters of the Buriram circuit today on the handlebars of his Yamaha M1 from the Tech3 team.

A great performance which goes hand in hand with the increase in his knowledge of the Thai circuit and the precision of the settings of his machine.

To achieve it, the French driver took it in two stages, first securing a 1'30.653 from his third morning run on medium tires, before delivering the blow during his 9th and final run at the end of the race. afternoon, equipped with new tires.

At the end of these days, Johann Zarco is in fifth position, less than a 10th of a second from Maverick Vinales.

Johann zarco : “It was a great second day, I’m happy! Compared to yesterday, my position in the ranking is much better, even if I haven't focused too much on this subject. Every lap I did today I was pretty quick. I haven't done a long run yet, but I got good use of the used tire. However, I have to admit that I was expecting a bigger improvement when I put the new tire on, but at the same time it helps us better understand the changing track conditions. We gathered some good information and, for me, the balance of the bike is now very good. I was able to push a lot and I'm only a few tenths behind the best, which means there are only small areas where we need to improve. Tomorrow we have another day, and since it's the third day of testing here in Thailand, everyone will be even faster, because we know the track and have learned to ride here. I hope I can be very competitive to leave the Buriram circuit with a smile. »
