This morning was marked by the announcement of the renewal of Valentino Rossi for two years at Yamaha. This could have appeared as a snub for Jorge Lorenzo who has made no secret of wanting to do the same and sign, if possible, before the Qatar Grand Prix.

This is not the case since according to several sources, the Mallorcan driver also received an offer from the Iwata manufacturer last Thursday.

And even an offer worthy of his new world title, if we judge by the reported words of Valera, his trusted man: “the best contract he has had in his entire career”.

Jorge Lorenzo nevertheless taking the time to think about this contract, Valentino Rossi therefore pulled the rug out from under him this morning and, as a result, the entourage of #99 declares that they want to take a few extra days before making a final decision, although, officially, no other proposal is available to the Yamaha rider.

However, despite successive denials, the rumor of a move to Ducati continues to gain momentum in the paddock.
But, of course, rumors are just rumors...
