Our Spanish colleagues from El Pais have just released the information, for their part in the simple future, and not in the conditional: Dani Pedrosa should indeed join the Yamaha MotoGP team in 2017 alongside Valentino Rossi.

After 11 years with the Honda Repsol team, Pedrosa would ride a Yamaha M1.

Who would go to Honda? The question remains open, but the choices could fall on one of the Ducati victims.
Iannone? This is a possibility according to Pernat, manager of the Italian. Some rumors see Crutchlow. But the Briton is under contract until 2017. According to our information collected at Le Mans, LCR could change Honda for Suzuki and offer the services of Johann Zarco who will have to prove himself during the first private tests during the summer. Crutchlow would in this case inherit the official Honda.
Ultimately, the LCR team could thus recover a second Suzuki (the famous 24th place, for the moment postponed).

As we can see, there is a lot of conditional information and the Pedrosa/Yamaha announcement has not yet been made official at all by those involved.

Edit: Moreover, this morning, Repsol's communications manager denied the information. The Spanish press definitely has its finger very tight on the trigger…

Generally speaking, we'll take stock of all of this next week, as there are still many options on the horizon.
