Let's take advantage of this last Grand Prix of the season in Valence to inaugurate a series of anecdotes concerning the different events of the season, based on our rich photo library due in large part to our photographer Christian Bourget, still as passionate after more than 40 years of activities.

This first step back will concern Alvaro Bautista who will leave MotoGP after 16 seasons. Will he have his Ola on the 19th lap of the Grand Prix ? We'll see but, in the meantime, here is our own tribute, remembering the funny moments during his coronation...

Valencia 2006.

Although finishing the Grand Prix behind Hector Faubel, Mika Kallio et Sergio Gadea, Alvaro Bautista has enough points to be titled 125 world champion aboard his Aprilia.

Naturally, his joy is immense and the new Spanish champion makes it a point to stop in front of the stands to throw his gloves...

Then, in a moment of euphoria, his boots too...

It is therefore in socks, without gloves and still decked out in a superhero cape that Álvaro Bautista then takes the handlebars of his Aprilia to finish his lap of honor with, what is more, his flag stuck in his arm LEFT…

In the end, all this doesn't really go well together and here is our new world champion on the ground with his Aprilia...

Álvaro Bautista died of laughter and then began another salute to the crowd…

Finally, it will still be in socks, but this time without the flag, that he will join the pit lane.
