Tom Lüthi confirmed his excellent end-of-season form on Friday with second place on the first day, but preceded by the Italian-Brazilian Franco Morbidelli by seven hundredths. We then found the subscribers in the first places in the category, with Takaaki Nakagami third followed by Simone Corsi and the future duettists of Tech 3 Jonas Folger and Johann Zarco. Hugo Clere fell in FP1 with Christian Boudinot's TranFIORmers and hurt his shoulder a little, although not seriously. At mid-session, Lüthi still dominated, followed by Morbidelli, Zarco, Folger, Simon and Schrotter. Curiously, the Swiss left the pits 16 minutes from the end, when almost everyone else was entering. We noted the good relative positions of Danny Kent seventh and Remy Gardner tenth.
In the final minutes, Danny Kent, definitely in good form, moved up to third position. He then preceded Johann Zarco and Jonas Folger.
