Before Lorenzo's farewell there were the honors given by Zarco to his Ajo team and to a Moto2 category which brought him fifteen victories. One more and he was the equal of Marc Márquez in the number of achievements. But the Frenchman is the only one who can say that he has been crowned twice consecutively in the discipline. He leaves with one last success. Which was not easy to achieve.

Starting from his seventh pole position of the season, he took his seventh victory of the year. Summed up like this, the task seemed easy. But quite the opposite was experienced on the track. We saw the Frenchman bleeding as rarely at the start of a Grand Prix before getting rid of an opponent Morbidely ringworm and keep a distance from a Lüthi formidable.

Two competitors who had to be muzzled from the start. The tricolor explains: “ yesterday when I analyzed the practice sessions, I realized that I was missing a few tenths compared to Morbidelli and Lüthi. So it would be difficult for me to follow them. The plan was to not let them go and fight with them right away to stop them from having a perfect lap ».

« Everything went as planned, everything worked perfectly. Then, I was able to build up a good lead after the fifteenth lap and I was able to move towards victory. I'm making the most of this moment and I would like to congratulate my team who have once again shown their skills in giving me a bike that gives me confidence and allows me to attack ».

A team led by Aki Ajo who had barely placed the trophy won in Moto3 by Brad Binder who will succeed Johann Zarco next year: “ It’s a wonderful end to this two-year project. Of course, we did not imagine such results at the start when setting up this group. Two consecutive titles, we didn't even dream of it. These moments were fantastic for everyone, for everyone who worked so hard for them. Johann Zarco, Laurent Fellon, his family, our chief mechanic Massimo Branchini, all the members of the team, all the sponsors, I say a big thank you to you all ».
