The last repechages of this 2016 season were also the last opportunity for its protagonists to be able to play a qualifying final in MotoGP. The very first minutes amounted to Hector Barbera containing the two Pramac drivers. A Ducati hat-trick watched from the side of the track by Laverty who had to leave his own Desmosedici in the gravel trap after a fall in turn 4.
Meanwhile, Crutchlow had trouble with the two Aprilias which hampered him in a fast lap. The fiery Briton then expressed his dissatisfaction with strong gestures. An attitude that has been closely watched for some time by DORNA…
His spirits restored, the double winner this year took the best performance in 1'30.544 in front Danilo Petrucci. The first disappointment was Hector Barbera. Loris Baz will start sixteenth in front of the two official Aprilias while at KTM, we are relieved not to finish last. Rock will start twentieth in front Rabat et Hernandez.
