The weather was magnificent although a little cool for the first free practice session of the last Grand Prix of the year, with 7° for the air and 6° for the track. Dennis Foggia was present as a wild card, showcasing his title of Junior World Champion obtained in CEV, the final of which will take place next week here in Valencia.

Juanfran Guevara was the first to set a fast time in 1'41.859. The cold bitumen did not facilitate developments. Gabriel Rodrigo was the first of the weekend to fall, without seriousness in turn 2. The new World Champion Joan Mir imitated him shortly after, in turn 10 without consequence.

At mid-session, Jorge Martin took the lead in 1'40.836. He preceded Juanfran Guevara and Fabio di Giannantonio by 0.3. Joan Mir followed, ahead of Romano Fenati and Nicolo Bulega. Jules Danilo was twenty-first. The temperature was still quite cool.
Patrik Pulkkinen fell lightly in turn 10. He will no longer race in the Grand Prix next year.
Juanfran Guevara progressed in 1'40.551, closely followed by Aron Canet at 0.08. Livio Loi fell without seriousness in turn 8, after his Leopard Racing teammate Joan Mir had already fallen.
Bo Bendsneyder took command 8 minutes from the end in 1'40.480, 0.07 ahead of Guevara. Jorge Martin was first under 1'40, in 1'39.889.
Marcos Ramirez won at the end of the session in 1'39.669 ahead of Jorge Martin, Nicolo Bulega, Aron Canet, Juanfran Guevara and Bo Bendsneyder. Jules Danilo ranked eighteenth.
