The best time of the morning was set by Marcos Ramirez in 1'39.669. In the afternoon, the weather was more favorable with an air temperature of 19° and a track temperature of 23°. John McPhee fell without seriousness at the start of the session. Nakarin Atiratphuvapat fell shortly after, heavily in turn 14, the last, which commands the start-finish line. He was evacuated conscious on a stretcher towards the medical headquarters.

Joan Mir was the fastest 25 minutes from the checkered flag in 1'39.964. He preceded Ayumu Sasaki and Aron Canet by 0.1 at mid-session, ahead of Romano Fenati and Jorge Martin at 0.2.
Aron Canet took the lead in 1'39.760. He accelerated with 17 minutes to go in 1'39.605, the best time achieved since the start of the day. Jorge Martin replaced him at the top of the timing screens in 1'39.209, which was a very fast time, faster than the lap record set by Efren Vasquez in 2014 in 1'39.400. Kaito Toba fell without seriousness at the end of the session. Niccolo Antonelli fell and Nicolo Bulega who arrived just behind him could not avoid him. Antonelli was OK, injured Bulega was evacuated by ambulance.
Jorge Martin finally preceded Aron Canet by almost four tenths, Juanfran Guevara by six, and Joan Mir and Ayumu Sasaki by seven.
