After this last round of the MotoGP world championship, Johann Zarco therefore concludes his first year in the premier category with the title of Rookie of the year, the title of best independent rider, and retains his 6th place in the final ranking.
The icing on the cake, after his splendid performance during the Valencia Grand Prix, the Tech3 rider comes second in the ranking of riders who led a race in 2017, behind World Champion Marc Marquez, but ahead of 5 factory bikes, including the Official Yamaha of Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi.
