Dovi was very tired after a tough end to the season, a lot of tension, media obligations, pressure, and finally a lively Grand Prix with the falls of the two official Ducatis and the rather personal way of Lorenzo of applying the instructions of the 'team.
And even if Andrea didn't really see himself as World Champion for sure before the race (" it took a miracle "), there was nevertheless a certain underlying disappointment afterwards, for him as for Ducati. But we were proud of this superb season:
It's fatto sognare fine alla fine! Grace @AndreaDovizioso / You made us dream until the very end! Thanks Andrea! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #ValenciaGP #ForzaDucati #DucatiTeam @MotoGP pic.twitter.com/M5RFjJndfF

Furthermore, during these tests, Honda presented its new 2018 motorcycle, immediately in the mix with Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa in terms of times, while Ducati had nothing other to offer than its aged GP17 under harness.
On the other hand, there were a multitude of little things to try, which the team had not yet had time to check over time. However, it was all the more important as the decision had to be made for some of them whether or not to mount them on the prototypes of the new GP18 currently being assembled for the next tests.
Andrea Dovizioso, who completed a total of 72 laps, set his best time in 1'30.850 this Wednesday. The two official Ducati Team riders will be back on track next week in Jerez de la Frontera for two more days of testing on November 22 and 23 before the winter holidays.
According to Andrea Dovizioso, who are " We took advantage of these two days to try out different details and useful solutions for the preparation of the 2018 motorcycle.
“We were able to complete the work program agreed with our engineers and test the new 2018 Öhlins forks.
“Now we await the last test of the year in Jerez next week, where we will work to define the final details of the new bike before the winter break. »
